Quick start guide

Start using Museum App in less than 5 minutes by following these steps.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to museum.app
Click "Sign Up"
Choose email, Google, or Apple
Enter your name and select a username
Enter your gender and date of birth
Select your favorite collecting categories and customize them if you wish

You can sign up from any country in the world—Museum App is available in 9 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

Step 2: Customize your profile

After signing up, you can customize your profile:

Profile picture - Upload an image that represents you
Bio - Tell the world what you collect

You can also add links to your other social networks or pages by clicking Edit on the button that appears on your profile or by going directly to profile settings.

Step 3: Upload your first collectible

It's time to add the first piece to your collection:

Press the "+" or "Upload" button
Select "Collectible"
Choose the main category (e.g., Trading Cards)
Select subcategories (e.g., Pokémon TCG → Cards)
Upload quality photos of your item
Add title and description
Complete the additional fields (brand, year, condition, etc.)
Optionally, add private information (price, purchase date)
Press "Publish"

Tip: You can save as a draft if you don't have time to complete all the information. Find it later in your profile → Drafts.

Step 4: Create your museum

Organize your collectibles in themed sections:

Go to your profile → Museum tab
Click the "Create museum" button
Assign a name and description to your museum
Select the language for your museum texts
Create your first section by clicking the Actions button on desktop or the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the museum section on the profile
Enter a name and description for your section
Upload a custom image or choose a color for your section
Access the section and click the + button to add collectibles from your profile

Step 5: Connect with other collectors

Explore Museum App and interact with users. In the Explore section, you can discover collectibles, posts, and museums from other users. Interact with them—in the feed, you can choose to see content from users you follow or view recommended collectibles, posts, and museums from other users that might interest you.

Step 6: Explore the tools

Museum App offers unique tools for collectors:

Collection Value - Calculate how much your collection is worth
Search Lists - Organize the items you're looking for
Drawer - Save items you don't display
