How to use the Search Lists finder

The search lists finder allows you to perform a global search among all the collectibles that Museum App users are looking for. This is useful if you're thinking about selling a rare item, it's likely that one of the Museum App users is looking for it and is willing to buy it.

Only collectibles you added to public search lists appear in search results, so if you want to prevent your collectibles from appearing here make sure to set the search list as private.

To access the search lists finder from your profile, go to the options menu and find the My Collection > Search Lists section, it will take you to the page to view and manage your search lists and there's a button that says "Search in other lists" from there you can perform the search. You can also access through this link: Search in other users' lists

How does it work?

The search engine works similarly to classified ads:

Users search: Other collectors can search for specific items
They find your list: If you have that item in your public search list
They contact you: They can open a chat with you to negotiate

Use case

Imagine a collector wants to sell one of their rarest items. They can perform a search and discover that you have that item in your search list. Then they can:

See that you're actively looking for that item
See the price you're willing to pay
Contact you directly via chat
Negotiate an exchange or buy-sell

Benefits

For the buyer (who's looking for a collectible): Greater visibility of the item they're looking for and the possibility of finding a collector willing to sell/trade it.
For sellers (who perform a search): They find buyers interested in the collectible they have and could sell without needing to advertise it.
For everyone: Direct connections between collectors

This function efficiently connects buyers and sellers, helping both parties find what they need.
