How to tag users in posts
Museum App's tagging system allows you to mention other users at specific points in your images.
Tagging when uploading a post
Step 1: Access the tagging option
When uploading a post, click the tag button that appears next to "Publish now" and select "Tag a user".
Step 2: Search for the user
Search for the user by typing their @ followed by the username and select them from the results list.
Step 3: Select the photo
Select the photo where you want to tag the user.
Step 4: Place the tag
Click or tap on the exact location where you want to place the user's tag.
Tagging in an already published post
Step 1: Access the post
Open the post you want to edit.
Step 2: Open the options menu
Press the 3 dots (⋯) action button on the post.
Step 3: Select edit tags
Click "Edit tags" in the menu.
Step 4: Add the tag
Follow the same steps as when uploading a post: search for the user with their @, select the photo and click on the location.
Remove user tags
To delete a tag:
- Access the post and press the 3 dots (⋯) button
- Select "Edit tags"
- In the "Tagged people" modal, press the X next to the user you want to remove
Notifications
When you tag a user:
- They receive an immediate notification
- The post appears in their "Posts I'm tagged in" section
- The user can remove the tag if they don't want to appear
Best practices
- Tag with relevance - Only tag users related to the content
- Precise position - Place the tag near the user in the image
- Don't abuse - Avoid tagging users without reason
