This is probably the rarest distribution of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in Europe. It is the standard English GPS version, where GPS stands for “Game Pack Software.”
This version uses the same box design as the PAL releases from Spain, Germany, and Austria, but the text is in English. The box, manual, map, and secrets booklet all share the code SNSP-ZL-GPS. It is a neutral English version with no distributor listed, produced specifically for import into countries with lower demand. It was used only in Portugal and Greece.
This particular copy is the Portuguese version. It was distributed by CHAVES FEIST & Cª LDA, and on the back of the box there is a white sticker in Portuguese describing the game. It also includes an additional full-color manual printed in Portugal.
Interestingly, the sticker on the back refers to the game as “The Legend of Zelda IV,” implying it is the fourth Zelda title, when it is actually the third. They may have counted the Game & Watch version as a separate Zelda release.
