In 2016 Nintendo decided to relaunch the classic Pokémon video games originally launched for the Game Boy, they released packs in physical format of a Nintendo 2DS with digital video game and in turn sold physical gift cards to acquire the video game at the Nintendo eShop. This card allowed you to download Pokémon Azul for the virtual console of the Nintendo 3DS. The card was available in stores and when it was taken to the payment box, they gave you the code on the purchase ticket.
