In 2017 Nintendo officially released Pokémon Gold for Nintendo 3DS in physical format in Europe and Japan, other regions did not have the same luck, these codes could be purchased in Australia's physical stores. You had to take this card to the counter and print the download code of the game for the Nintendo 3DS eShop on the purchase ticket.
