This is probably the most beautiful edition ever released for the GameBoy Color. Nintendo, with the launch of Zelda Oracle of Ages & Zelda Oracle of Seasons, released a Limited Edition limited to 500 units. This edition was not sold in stores, it was distributed in various Nintendo contests across Europe, and some units were also given to video game press analysts in countries like Sweden.
The edition is a quite sturdy cardboard box that opens to reveal two parts. It also includes modules for placing the games, very similar to the Limited Editions of Minish Cap and Majora's Mask Adventure Set.
The limited edition includes, on the upper part, a square poster and a boomerang. The back of the poster has the same design as the front.
In the bottom part, there are two modules with The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, two metallic pins of both games, a T-shirt, and stickers for the GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance cases.
The Zelda Oracle of Ages and Seasons games came unsealed within this edition. I have kept the original games totally new and unsealed, but I decided to include my sealed units with a red strip for the photos of the edition.
I specifically bought this edition from a guy in Barcelona, Spain, who won it in a Nintendo Action contest in early 2002. I also managed to obtain a second edition from a Finnish video game analyst who had been gifted it by Bergsala A.B. (the official Nintendo distributor in the Scandinavian countries) for reviewing the games.
